About USLMB

The Union of Surveyors and Land Managers in Bulgaria (USLMB) is a public, professional, non-partisan organization. Its membership spans from students to retirees, and from technicians to professors, bringing together employees of state and private companies, enterprises, universities, employers, and contractors in the field of surveying activities.
Established in 1922, the Union is a member of the Federation of the Scientific Engineering Unions. It maintains regional structures across nearly all 28 administrative regions of the country.
Through the Union, Bulgaria is represented internationally in various organizations and institutions. USLMB is an active member of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), established 135 years ago in Paris. It is also a member of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), founded 100 years ago, the International Cartographic Association (ICA), the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE), and the European Group of Surveyors (EGoS). Furthermore, the Union maintains contact with other international entities, as well as bilateral and multilateral relations with individual countries and national associations.
The USLMB carries out a wide range of activities: organizational, scientific and technical, international, publishing, contact and cooperation with state institutions, private companies, and other organizations, professional advocacy, financial management, and other operational duties. It organizes international and national symposiums, conferences, and seminars, conducts national and regional meetings, and publishes proceedings from these and other events.
Since 1961, the Union has been publishing the scientific and technical journal Geodesy, Cartography, Land Management.
